This little guy made me smile… What a cute video… What would it be like if children ruled the world?

If you had all the money in the world…
Yesterday, I asked my Facebook community: “If you had all the money in the world what would you do with the 16 hours you are awake everyday?”
The responses ranged from living like a king, to doing something different every day, to giving to others, to witty ones such as “If i had all the money in the world, that means others would start creating other forms of currency which would render mine useless,” to honest and vulnerable, yet courageous ones such as “the same thing I do everyday…worry, be lonely and cry….” I found this truly interesting, and inspiring.
Another way to figure out what you would do is to think about the things you loved as a child… For me, it was always to spend time with animals… and that is why this video just made my day. Enjoy it 🙂
TED Talk – Amy Cuddy: Your Body Language Shapes Who You Are
I once did a silent meditation retreat for 10 days straight. The focus of the meditation was solely on sensations in the body. After a few days of only meditating, with no talking, reading, writing, exercising or ANYTHING, it became clear that my thoughts and feelings shifted regardless of external circumstance (since there was nothing happening). Sometimes I was happy, sometimes I was sad, sometimes angry etc., and the deeper I got into the meditation the more I realized the connection between my emotions and the actual sensations in my body. For this reason, parts of this Ted talk really resonated with me. I found Cuddy’s experiment particularly fascinating. What a great concept to test the feelings that come from powerful body language vs. weak. I think Chinese medicine relates to these concepts too… can anyone shed some more light the science of all this?
TED Talks – Rick Warren: A Life of Purpose
As many of you may know from reading my New Years reflections post, my personal resolution this year is to live a life of spiritual alignment and financial abundance. I have personally always felt more drawn to spiritual alignment than the latter, realizing that I have some subconscious fears and resistance towards allowing myself to desire true financial abundance and everlasting wealth. Many of the points that Rick Warren made really resonated with me, especially his reflections on what to do with his newfound fame and fortune… enjoy! – Jasmin Terrany, LMHC
