How does perfectionism affect my life?

The perfectionist! In New York, this idea of being the best and doing everything stronger, and harder, and better, and faster, is a really prevalent theme. This perfectionist mentality can lead to some success, but oftentimes its detrimental because it is fear-based. The root cause of the perfectionism is this desire to prove oneself, trying and striving for the next thing because we have this idea that we are not “good enough.”
Thus, to a degree, you do yourself a disservice because you don’t love and accept yourself, your perfection, and your wholeness just as you are. It is important to realize you don’t need to strive so much because you are already complete!
