Jasmin Terrany, LMHC was a recent guest expert on the inspiring MIND BODY BUSINESS Show with Brian Kelly. In his course of studying successful people, Brian realized that they had three traits that were common to each of them, and that was that they had mastered the mind, the body and the business mindset. The show explores the ways in which successful people achieve success in their work, including sales, marketing, team building, systematizing, and everything that goes into building, maintaining and growing their businesses.
Brian starts off by describing Jasmin as savvy, skillful, professional, adept, trained, big-league and qualified. With that intro, he asks Jasmin what keeps her mind positive. She challenges that question by explaining why she’s not a proponent of positive thinking, and why she believes that the positive mindset is one-sided and avoids a huge part of the human experience.
They continue discussing why women are superheros, and how juggling a career and motherhood is a huge undertaking. Jasmin explains how an essential part of her life therapy practice is teaching her clients how to be successful both at home and in their businesses, and giving them the tools they need to be present with their children, have a healthy relationship with their spouse, maintain their friendships, have a solid personal life, and more.
Furthermore, they discuss relationships, and why it is of great importance to give equal amount of attention to both the children and the spouse. Jasmin provides an analogy that illustrates the importance of quality communication in relationships, and how working on improving that can tremendously improve the marriage.
Brian continues by asking Jasmin how does being an entrepreneur affect her family life. He asks about her business, invites her to explain what is life therapy, and to give an overview of her psychotherapy practice that targets high achievers. He is curious to know what is Jasmin’s greatest fear to date and how does she manage it. He also asks what is the best way, in her opinion, to achieve long, sustained amount of business success, and how does she actually define success.
