Why do I want to control everything?

Oftentimes, people who like to control everything aren’t really comfortable within themselves. The more we can control our circumstances, the more we think we’ll be able to relax because we’ll have everything “figured out”. Ultimately,  the goal is to learn how to take care of your inner anxiety and tension by soothing it so that whatever happens in your life, you can just flow with it and allow it rather, than over-controlling.
We have to learn how to take care of ourselves from the inside out so we don’t have to depend on the external things to give us our sense of security and comfort. Because the truth is when we depend on all these external things to make us feel comfortable or happy, we actually don’t have any control!
On the other hand, we can always work on the one thing we can control: our inner space.
