How to have conversations without arguing?
First and foremost, set the intention to have a conversation without arguing. Let the person that you’re talking to know, decide on creating a peaceful environment, and clarify what it is that you’d like to achieve during this conversation.
Make sure that, when you’re sharing, you’re using “I” words, you’re not blaming and saying “You” words. You want to think about flowing with the person you’re talking to, instead of against them, and understand that you have your perspective, and they have their perspective, and as much as you want them to understand you, you also need to make sure that you understand them. When you have two different perspectives they can both be right.
So come to your side, go to their side, and decide together how you want to proceed with these two sides of the equation.
