Small Groups Explore Self-Love

A few weeks ago, in an adapted version of the Winter Rejuvenation Workshop, 8 women of different ages and life experiences attended a personal growth and acceptance workshop to explore the concept and practice of self-love more deeply.

Through discussion, partner-sharing, and group work, the women focused on embracing the metaphor of seeing a glass of water as both half full and half empty at the same time. This metaphor helped them understand the concept of embracing both the positive and negative components of life, as the perfection and wholeness of the human experience; rather than focusing on attaching  to the positive and judging, hating, or avoiding negative, which is a common tendency that creates unhealthy cycles.

At the end of the workshop, the participants described it as “re-freshening”, “enlightening”, “a relief”, “peaceful”, and “thought-provoking”.

They commented that they don’t often create an opportunity for deep reflection and that they cherished time to simply take care of themselves from the inside out.

They found that it was a good time to unite with others and realize that they are not alone, and that difficulties or “cloudy” feelings that arise within everyone. They became clearer that inner discomfort from “negative” feelings is a natural part of life to be accepted, not shunned.  The workshop was just one way Jasmin promotes a healthy and balanced lifestyle and was a reminder that our insides require a workout and sauna just as much as our outside.

Stay tuned for more upcoming workshops and small group work opportunities with the JasminBalance Team!
